What Is Peptide Reconstitution?

Understand what reconstitution means, why diluent and concentration matter, and which product-specific questions to ask.

Understanding reconstitution

Reconstitution means adding a specified liquid to a powder to prepare a solution. The required diluent, quantity, mixing method and usable period depend on the exact product.

Use the manufacturer’s product instructions and the pharmacist’s directions. Do not substitute a diluent or copy a mixing recipe from another compound. If instructions are missing or unclear, ask the dispensing pharmacist before preparation.

A vial and a pen cartridge are different containers. A disposable pen must not be treated as a refillable device.
